The calendar year is finished, you are getting ready for a short break, family time, then back to work in 2016.
You know we are in a time of increasing volatility, uncertainty, chaos and ambiguity.
So perhaps you might reflect upon what happened in the year just gone and how you can be different next year, because how you were in 2015 will not cut it in 2016.
Firstly you could do a detailed appreciative reflection:
- What worked well in each month or quarter?
- What changes worked from period to period?
- How did I improve as I went through each period?
- How different am I now to the beginning of the year?
Then you could do a pathological reflection:
- What didn’t work in each month or quarter?
- What changes didn’t work?
- What needs to be different in 2016 compared to 2015?
- How do I ensure I adjust effectively?
It’s all about continuous learning!
I’m certain you can find other useful questions to ask yourself.
Will you do this reflection?
What might happen if you don’t?
