In an earlier post I spoke about the difference between elite and high performance being more about mindset.
To unpack that elite performance mindset is the purpose of this post.
You could look at the elite mindset as being a tripod.
- Clarity of Goal - Absolute clarity of goal is essential, no ambiguity or uncertainty must exist.
- Belief in Having Already Won – Grounded in competence and past experience.
- Devotion (some would call it discipline or dedication) to Correct Action – to manifest the achievement.
To develop the practice of the elite mindset, try it for yourself by choosing a realistic and useful goal that you and your team can focus on.
Attend to these:
- Describe the goal in complete detail.
- Obtain authentic assurance that each team member has absolute belief and knowledge that the goal is already won in their mind – because they have ample evidence that they have achieved something like this before, that they have the competence and therefore there is nothing that will prevent it from manifesting.
- They act now in such a way that guarantees goal achievement e.g. take out the period or cycle profit first and make everything work well on the balance.
What else could you add to this?
