It’s Time to be Motivated

Fluctuating economies, fears of deflation, terrorism, global unemployment increasing, climate change.

Uncertainty, volatility, ambiguity, chaos and disruptive change seem to characterise our world.

We’re finding it difficult to trust our governments, politicians and business leaders.

They don’t inspire us with authentic values and vision, beyond appealing to our self-interests around survival, security and surety needs.

There is insufficient focus on our true values or a realistic personal and collective vision.

Without that better focus things will stay as they are. Or get worse.

How does that make you feel?

Are you going to allow this to continue?

Don’t you have a personal responsibility and full choice to live by your true values that enhances life and happiness, first for yourself, and then so that you can help others to be and do the same?

No-one has ever taken that choice from you.

We are governed by our emotions more than logic or facts.

Most of us would love to manage our emotions better.

Most of us would love to be able to think more clearly.

Most of us hold beliefs that don’t work anymore.

Most of us would love to stop the thoughts that hurt us or keep us awake.

Most of us would love to fix broken relationships without losing our honour.

Most of us wish to be forgiven for our transgressions.

We can motivate ourselves to achieve all this.

We have to acquire the set of skills that empower us to:

Clarify our true values and vision, personally and collectively.

Use evidence, facts and logic together with positive emotions.

Manage our thoughts better.

Rid ourselves of useless negative emotions.

Know how to resolve differences without losing our honour.

Experience the joy and power of forgiveness.

The great news is that we can - by mastering our skill in Attitudinal Competence – our ability to adopt and adapt our best attitude for what has happened, is happening or might happen, and not succumb to habitual attitudes.

Attitudinal Competence helps us to better choose our thoughts, emotions and actions in every aspect of life and work.

It doesn’t rely on elusive secrets or special skills – you already have the ability within you.

You will immediately experience the benefits – actually feel the difference.

Then you keep practicing – the only path to mastery.

Imagine how things could be if your leadership and your entire workforce were able to practice Attitudinal Competence.

Would you champion that?
