The Greatest Cause of Workplace Dysfunction & Poor Performance

After nearly two decades of providing my executive coaching service to leaders and executives across the workplace spectrum, I’m able to attest that the greatest cause of workplace dysfunction and poor performance is this:

The inability to conduct difficult conversations in a timely manner

That inability lies not only with leaders, managers, supervisors, but also with team members.

Consequently:

  • feelings are upset
  • misunderstandings occur
  • conflicts created
  • remedial conversations and actions are avoided
  • engagement diminishes
  • performance suffers
  • and an undesirable culture is created
