A characteristic of seasoned effective leaders is that they can manage stress well or rather, de-stress rapidly.
They are also life-long learners and realise that reflection is a high point in learning.
The time during which they de-stress occurs whilst conducting a disciplined daily reflection period, where they ask themselves these 15 questions or something similar:
1. What worked well today?
2. Why did that/they work well?
3. What can I learn from that?
4. What is important about that?
5. What must I record and embed from that?
6. What didn’t work well today?
7. Why didn’t that/they work well?
8. What can I learn from that?
9. What is important about that?
10. What must I record and embed from that?
11. What must I give attention to tomorrow?
12. What is in my diary tomorrow that is no longer important?
13. Who needs recognition tomorrow?
14. Who needs my support most tomorrow?
15. What must I do now to be at my best tomorrow?
They often do this whilst walking or doing some light exercise.
